On the occasion of World Cancer Day on 4th February 2018, CK Birla Hospitals RBH conducted an awareness program led by Dr. Sundeep Jain, Director – GI, Oncology, HPB, Bariatric and Minimal Invasive Surgery and Dr. Poonam Upadhya, Senior Gynecologist. The event was held at the main lobby of the hospital. Dr. Sandeep Jain started with a brief description about various types of cancer like liver, Pancreas, Gall Bladder and Bile Duct. Dr. Poonam Upadhya spoke about female cancer like Breast, Cervical and Ovarian Cancer. She mainly requested the females to keep themselves in the same line in the family when it comes their health. She explained that females are pillars of any family and if their health suffers it indirectly affects the whole family. The doctors spoke about symptoms, signs, risk factors, treatment, preventive measures, myths and facts related to Cancer.
