So in this scenario, the code to to my swap file is not working and I end up running out of memory. I have a 2GB swap file set at 1GB. I have set the memory management options to OSX High Sierra [ memory management ] Turn off memory management Yes No. I have checked the Memory Map and everything shows that there is plenty of memory. I am at a loss as to what to do to fix this issue.
I had the same issue on El Capitan (10.11.2). I solved it by:
doing Product > Upgrade to the newest version of your product,
do Product > Repair, then proceed with Product > Remove and reinstall.
My theory is that the installer had downloaded a previous version, and tried to use them (that never worked!), then failed to remove them completely.
How do I “remove” a previous software update?
